Flamingos

Stylish, two-legged creatures come,
To ease each other’s tedium,
Dressed up in striking pink or plum.

They flock toward sunlit tidal pools,
In dreamy, contemplative mood,
And while they’re standing on one foot

In most well-sculpted, yoga pose,
They talk and talk of what they know:
The saddest tales of love and woe.
